Jonathan Jackson is an entrepreneur, software engineer, and system designer with extensive real-world experience in the design, development and deployment of technology solutions. He has built software systems and led development teams for a variety of projects in both developed and developing countries.

In 2003 Jonathan was awarded a Department of Homeland Security Fellowship at MIT and the Brigham and Women's hospital, where he developed neural network software that was able to dynamically test multiple learning algorithms and report on the optimal parameters for a given algorithm and dataset. More recently, he led the technical development as founder and CTO of Infinidex, an award winning contact search management startup.

Since joining Dimagi in 2004, Jonathan has overseen the development of multiple innovative health projects, including SmartCare, the National HIV medical record systems in Zambia and CommCare, a mobile phone based system for community healthcare workers. Since 2006, he has led Dimagi as PI or co-PI with Vikram in the awarding of 4 NIH grants for a variety of patient-centered technologies being researched in the United States. Jonathan earned bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jonathan is a founding board member of the UnaMesa Foundation, a visiting scientist at Brigham and Women's Hospital Decision Systems Group, and a lecturer at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
